So following on from the Sametime announcements yesterday

the question becomes, when will Microsoft acquire Parlano for their persistent chat. Parlano has a strong presence in the financial market and has ties already to Microsoft technologies. One thing that has stopped Parlano getting more widespread usage has been it's price, customers or potential customers hate their price. Microsoft could fix that over night.

Gravatar Image1 - For years, I've believed Parlano had the UI and advanced chat features nailed. But they never could integrate with a non-MS back end.
