FEDEX continue to shine in a dim light...

Category
Still no package this morning so I decide to give them a call. The call goes like this.

"Hello Sir, we're very sorry over the packages none delivery on Friday, but we're glad to say it's all being sorted out."
"Great, what time today will it be delivered? I was told Friday you'd call me first thing this morning to let me know, you never did."
"Let me call the dispatch sir and find out. Hello sir, I have Linda from the Londonderry dispatch on the phone, let me pass you to her."
"Great, thanks"
"Hello Mr Tyler, this is Linda"
"Hi Linda, can you tell me when today I can expect my packages to be delivered?"
"Yes Mr Tyler, we have switched the packages to Express from Ground, they will be delivered tomorrow."
stunned silence, "Eh, excuse me, did you say tomorrow? The packages were supposed to be delivered Friday, then today and now they'll be delivered tomorrow?"
"Yes sir."
"How can that be? Are you guys on some prank TV show trying to wind me up? They were supposed to be delivered Friday, then today and now tomorrow?"
"Sorry about that sir, but they are express now they will be delivered tomorrow."
"OK don't touch the packages, leave them where they are, I'm going to come by on my way to Boston and pick them up, I no longer have faith in FEDEX for being able to deliver anything. Can you reassure me that this package is not going to be put onto a truck before I get there?"
"Yes sir, the package won't move, it will stay where it is in my office"
"In your office? On the website it says it's on the truck"
"Oh no, it's here in my office I am looking right at them"
"OK I'll be along later"

I'm beginning to love my calls with FEDEX, they're get more unbelievable each time I call, they really have become quite entertaining.

David Bronczek is the head of FedEx Express. Drop $40 and get his home phone number. Then call him at night and explain to him what happened.

I promise this will work wonders.

Gravatar Image2 - Interesting. I usually don't have problems w/ FedEx either, but this whole incident sounds SO much like what happened when the tivo I bought my sis for christmas last year was obviously lost on the back of a truck for a couple of weeks. Bummer to see that the holiday snafus are starting early this year...

Gravatar Image4 - Did you get your package yet? You need to finish the story

Gravatar Image5 - Rule #1, as confusing as it is, find out who has your package. FedEx Express (yes, the original FedEx) Or FedEx ground. As a 12 year employee of FedEx and now FedEx Express I hear constantly of the bunglings of our 'red headed step child' FedEx ground. They suck, we know it, upper management knows it and worst all our customers know it. They don't work with us, in fact they're called 'contractors' which means they work for themselves in a big ol' truck with a green FedEx logo. Unfortunately when people say FedEx blew it, it's usually ground giving us the black eye.
