Week 14 Diet check in

So it's week 14, tomorrow was actually the date by which I was supposed to have lost 15% of my body mass. Sadly I don't expect to lose an additional 5% in my sleep tonight, so 15% hasn't happened, but I'm still working on it. I'm going back to England for Christmas and if I plan to feast on turkey and stuffing with lots of gravy and potatoes, I had better lost it by then!

Anyway, the results for 14 weeks are as follows: Total body % lost in 14 weeks, on a combination of Atkins and healthy eating is.... 9.57%, which works out to 34.08 lbs (for English folks that's 2 stone, 6.08 lbs), the .08 is obviously very important.

I have noticed that since giving up on Atkins, my cravings for breads, pizza and candy etc. have increased dramatically, so I am thinking about swtching back to Atkins, otherwise I swear I'll be eating a whole batch of pizzas and chinese soon.

I'll actually continue to post my weight loss each week, as the peer pressure is pretty effective. Until next week....

Gravatar Image1 - I have just managed myself to loose 14lbs and I know how difficult it is. It does not seem to take the smooth line you show on your chart. Goes a bit in fits and starts.

Gravatar Image2 - Keep it up. I definitely like the Atkins plan. The hard part is having the correct food around to eat. Everything that is quick and easy is high in carbs and/or sugars. With Atkins you have to plan your meals more.

When I got off Atkins I too noticed my cravings for carbs go up. The Atkins diet at least has helped me kick the habit of drinking regular softdrinks that are loaded with carbs and sugars.

I'm back on the diet now and hope to loose another 10 lbs by Thanksgiving and 20lbs by Christmas.
