att why do you speak such rubbish?

I logged into my at&t online account and was presented with the following message
Your Login is being verified. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it may take a few minutes for this process to complete.

Seriously, it's down to my network speed? Nothing to do with the performance of your servers?  I smell a login screen that marketing BS writers got involved in.
