A big blue thankyou!
Category Blueman Charity
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everybody that donated to Chris Millers "Carl should keep his mouth shut" charity drive we did for Lotusphere. Chris didn't manage to raise the $3000 dollars I requested, but I wasn't going to stop kids gettin worthy donations cos Chris can't market a charity drive
So yes, even though $3000 dollars wasn't raised, the good news is that $1,914.09 was raised! So that's $1,914.09 more for Mo Feat than they had pre Lotusphere. For me, shaving off 7 mm of hair really wasn't a big deal, and it was much easier than what Yancy Lent did for his fantastic fund raising. To be honest, the fact that the Blueman group was on during the Opening Session made it all the more fun, with people trying to work out if I copied Lotus, Lotus copied me or if it was just a coincidence, for those that want to know, it was a pure coincidence. I had no idea of the OGS performers until I saw the tubes on the stage, and Lotus had signed up the Blueman group the same weekend I was at my Nieces 18th, very funny.
If you didn't donate and would still like to, you still can at http://www.firstgiving.com/idonotes, but I wont be shaving my head anymore, I want my hair back and I want policemen to stop staring at me!
I didn't take any pictures myself, but I have seen others floating around Flickr, here are some of those and a picture of what my hair looked like half way to being the Blueman! Remember kids, do not eat the Blueberry gum!! Does anybody have a video of me answering a question during Gurupalooza?
And the lucky few, touched by Blue....There were others...
This is my Dr Who monster submission...kids ran away screaming...
And back to normal, well as normal as I can be...
