But hay, the American economy also benefits from these increased oil prices because two of Iran's major oil production partners are Exxon and Chevron, so the record multi-billion dollar profits reported by these companies also benefits the US economy and also pushes up the price of US domestic oil.

Even the former Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's shady dealings with various Russian oligarchs and his reported major shareholdings in several Russian oil & gas companies are a hint to this major connection between international politics and the energy industry.

Do you really think that this posturing with Iran and the invasion of Iraq is about global terrorism?

2 - Bush going to outsource a strike on Iran to the Chosen ones but not going to matter. The Iranians became the major power in the middle east after the Iraq invasion. No stopping them now it is too late. They control Iraq + Syria + Lebanon. Shiate on the rise in the middle east and puppet Sunni regimes like the Saudis + Kuwait + those little gulf countries and Jordan don't have a chance.
