Yes it's time for Jessie to pay her own way. She has been sponging off me for too long. She's old enough now that she should be able to fend for herself and it's time for her to get a job. Sure she could do regular work like bomb sniffing or being a seeing eye dog, but no after reading a BBC article she has decided she wants to be a working dog, renting herself out by the day. The article she read is A dog that's not for life.

She's thinking of posting an ad on Craigslist, this is what she has so far:

Disease free black bitch, happy to perform tricks for treats. Will happily wear leather collars and leads but I refuse to play with whips and chains. I find dress up games demeaning and prefer to remain naked for carefree play. I have a huge tongue and you should see what i can do with a jar of peanut butter! I love the wild life and one of my favourite past times is chasing beavers, squirrels and badgers. I enjoy ball games, and I'm never happier than when I've got a ball in my mouth to suck on. I would like to point out this post is purely for humour, Jessie is a Black lab, and she is a female dog, therefore black and a bitch. So please don't take offense.

1 - When I was at flight school, 2 young instructors bought a puppy just before the start of spring break season (this was near South Padre Island). They took turns walking the dog along the beach, using the puppy as "bait". They quickly escalated to renting the puppy out to other instructors for the same purpose.

A puppy is ideal but small cute dog or well behaved K-9 suits the bill.
