There is an Earl Grey iced tea advert running here in the US
Category None
There are a few things wrong with it. First, Iced Earl Grey tea? Iced tea in general is gross, but making iced Earl Grey tea? Secondly, in the Ad, there is a guy standing outside a shop, the shop has a German post box on the wall, even if you put it next to a red phone box, Brits can still tell it's fake, and thirdly the ad finishes off with swearing (OK mild swearing), saying something like "like bloody well should be" or some such thing. My sisters kids were quite surprised.
Update, found the ad, where else but on YouTube

My husband saw that ad the other day and asked "what's up with that"? (I drink a lot of tea, so he figured I was the one to ask.) I had to explain to him that "outside of America" drinking iced tea is regarded as sacrilege of sorts.
I grew up in Florida, where you wouldn't want to drink ANYTHING HOT 90% of the year. We LOVE iced tea - preferably VERY sweetened. It can be gross if it isn't sweetened right.
"The real WTF" about the commerical is (1) most people in the US won't get what's supposedly wrong with drinking Earl Grey tea iced., (2) the offended Brit in the commercial decides he's not offended, even though we're still drinking it iced...

What is odd is that the guy gets all het up and then just backs down.
But what is *really* odd is the '...like it bloody well should be.' In the UK we would get away with having that in an advert.
