A sly move by Adobe...

Adobe are now including Macromedia's Breeze software for web conferencing in the Adobe Acrobat Reader. Anyone that has ever had a meeting where you're trying to get applets etc. on a remote clients machine will appreciate why this is a clever move by Adobe. It screams of Microsoft tactics, but it's a smart move. Adobe Acrobat Reader is everywhere and now the very slick Breeze meeting client will be too. Who will WebEx partner with to get their client out there, Yahoo toolbar? Google toolbar? If only IBM had some software that was as ubiquitous as this to get the Sametime Meeting client installed everywhere. Ah, we can but dream.

If you want to *attend8 a Breeze meeting (now a Connect meeting), you only need the Flash Player, so this is correct. However, if you want to Host a Connect Meeting you also need the Meeting Host Add-In, which is a slightly modified version of the Flash Player. That Add-in is installed seamlessly when you log in to a meeting for the first time as a host. Hope this clarifies.
