After today

It looks like we may no longer be able to work with laptops etc. on planes. Now I'm waiting for the coalition of breast feeders to announce that women with babies should breast feed to ease their trip through security.
To be serious for a second, as this is a serious subject, the security measures imposed today just show how ineffective the security checks we have had since Setp 11th have been, sure we haven't had an attack, but that does not mean we were safer. If politicians had been as serious about security as they tried to lead us to believe, these restrictions would have been there since day 1. I imagine duty free is going to be shut down too, have you seen how explosive whisky can be?

Seriously? The Israeli's have told us all along that this is the wrong way to handle security. They rely on well trained people who conduct thorough interviews and use their intelligence. Trying to ban everything a terrorist could possibly use? Soon we'll all be flying in the nude! Not a sight anyone one MY flights should look forward to.

I don't really want to go there, but there's a certain "P" word that we need to keep in mind here. Old ladies aren't the ones mixing up acetone and hydrogen peroxide bombs...

Actually, there's a porto-rican rum thats 151 proof - 151 rum. It actually states "Danger - inflammable" on the label.
Or a very expensive cask strengh. But hey - you would *have* to be contemplating suicide to not drink the stuff...
No laptops on planes ? What about iPods ? CrackBerries ?
Damn. Neural implant time, methinks. And this is where folks like me - obese folks like me - can pack some *real* hardware...
