I got an email this morning from John Baxter

asking me to b log about Jamie Oliver's (aka the naked chef) effort to feed school kids a healthy meal. A new TV show was started by Jamie to show how he could make school meals today for cheaper or at the same cost as the current providers and still make them healthy, tasty and fun. Sadly I have not managed to catch the show, but I am encouraged that someone is trying to challenge the system. I used to quite enjoy my school dinners, but that was when they were made from fresh ingredients and there were no signs of a chicken nugget, the only thing I would ask is that he doesn't try and bring back Liver and Onion, that is a meal I do not miss...
So if you think Jamie is onto something good, be sure to go by the Feed Me Better website, check it out and sign the petition.

Urgh that nasty texture...Now school mashed potatoes they were special, served from the ice cream scoop as little half spheres, and always a little peppery, excellent.
Now Semolina and Jam I could go for some of that too, that pink custard though, I can skip that.
