and people have had time to reflect. Did anyone hear anything like a roadmap for Sametime mentioned? I didn't get to go to any sessions so don't know, I'm interested to know what's coming in the next versions, or has Sametime become the new SmartSuite ie it's not going away, btu don't expect anything exciting to happen to it? I'm sincerely interested to hear what people heard. The only things I heard were from the Sametime developers that came by my booth.

However, I don't think Workplace is ready for primetime and probably won't be for at least a year if not longer.
I would like to know if anyone else heard this message or am I missing something.

Our IBM rep told us that starting with v6 of Portal, due this summer, we will have the option of using the Workplace Collaborative Services in place of either ST or QP; he wasn't aware of any migration system, though, which will be critical for the QP side of things. At some point in the future, this will become required. That's actually fine with me, since I'm running Portal on zLinux, and ST and QP are the only components that I have to run on Wintel boxes outside the mainframe.
