Found a great little Sametime secret yesterday
Category None
I was poking around in some Sametime internals yesterday, and whilst looking for one thing found something else (isn't that always the way?). Anyway, I often hear from people who use Sametime meetings, is that when they share their screen and allow control, it can be very difficult to get control of your mouse back, everytime you go to click on the allow control button, the person at the other end moves your mouse. For a long time people have been requesting a hotkey to stop the screen control, and to date no news from Lotus. So I was very surprised to find such a key yesterday hidden away in Sametime 6.5.1. It's not documented in the help so I'm not sure how people are supposed to find out about it? Anyway, if you're sharing your screen and want to get control back, just press Ctrl-Q. I believe the key may be configurable, but will need to test before I say for sure.
