I arrived safely on the West Coast yesterday, the hotel took about three hours to get my room ready, no guaranteed checkin until 3pm PST so a bit of a pain. Fortunately they had wireless in the lobby so I could listen to five live whilst waiting, and with my softphone I was able to call my brother in-law to stop him committing suicide after the England France result.
I'm out here for a conference, but the conference is under NDA, so I can't say who it's with or what it's about. but it should be an interesting couple of days.
Last night I managed to catch up with an old friend and his fiance, who I'll be seeing again in a couple of weeks at their wedding, so it was nice to catch up with them prior to the big event.
