Anyone want to skip out of work with me today

to go and say farewell to Concorde. BA001 should be landing sometime around 3pm.

Probably the last chance I'll get to see it flying, unless Richard Branson pulls of the big one, and manages to buy a couple before they end up in museums.

Such a sad sad month...

1 - I HATE the French it's all their faults or we would see Concorde for a good few more years. 24th October will be a very very sad day.

2 - Hey, it was a piece of Junk left on the runway by a US plane that caused the Concorde to crash. A BA concorde would have crashed in the same way. Also Carl, even if Virgin managed to buy one or two planes, EADS/Airbus has announced that they will stop supporting the plane.

3 - That is not necessarily so Joel. British Airways changed their tyres more frequently than Air France, so they tended to be more sturdy. It could also be argued that the British clean their runways more often than the French so the debris would be less likely to be there. No one really knows for sire if this would have happened to BA, the fact is it's a sad month.
