Back to a more serious subject - Euro 2008!

Category

In case you haven't noticed they have begun, yes UEFA Euro 2008.  Some good games so far, and the best thing is that they are on ESPN2 in High Def, Fantastic, girls love it as they can see Ronald in more detail, I love it cos every inch of the TV is used.

None of the British Isle teams qualified for Euro 2008, as ehm, how can I put this, well they were all crap.  The one good thing that did come out of the qualifying is that we got rid of the England Managerc, so maybe, just maybe, we have a chance to qualify for the World Cup in 2010.  It's amazing really, England is currently ranked 9th in the World and I have no idea how they can be.  I'm looking forward to the 2010 World Cup, I'll turn 40 a couple of months before 2010 and a South Africa could be a great place to visit, knowing my luck I'll manage to get tickets and England won't get to go.  I wonder if we should do a Collaboration University in South Africa that year?

Gravatar Image1 - ... the british teams are still in UEFA? and I thought they had moved to concacaf.
No serious. I miss them. Not only for penalty shoot outs.

Gravatar Image2 - @1 You're a funny man Axel Emoticon

The sad thing is, I love penalties for the tension and suspense they create, but I also hate them because England never wins one.

Gravatar Image3 - Yes! Did you see The Netherlands trash reigning world champions Italy Emoticon

Ok, that was nice, now they need to keep up..

Gravatar Image4 - IMHO the reason England or Ireland didn't qualify was not because they were crap, but because their coaches were terrible. How neither of the Steves resigned of their jobs after the disgraceful qualifying is beyond me.

Anyway I digress. EURO2008 is probably the most balanced European Championship I've seen, it's really hard to predict a winner.

Gravatar Image5 - In the beginning it is hard to predict a winner, but finally it will be business as usual .. Germany, France or Italy .. YES Italy. (which was 90$ worth for me in Carls world cup tournament game). I like to watch Netherland, but as soon as shoot-out begins, I bet they will be lost. Maybe Ronaldo helps Portugal to break it this year.
