Sametime Advanced SDK now available
Category None
It's now possible to download the Sametime 8.0 Advanced SDK from:
http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/c2387690.pdf
It's not yet linked to from the Sametime Toolkits download page, but I think that's just a matter of time for some update process to happen.
The SDK is primarily a RESTAPI that provides access to many of the features of Sametime Advanced. From an integration point for 3rd parties this is quite nice, as basically any programming language or application that can make HTTP requests can interface with the servlets.
The SDK includes samples for
A J2EE Customer Support Call Management Application that creates a chat room and community on the fly.
A LDAP Adaptor sample that extends the UserInformationProvider extnesion point to return user informat
Now with the availability of this SDK, I think I should be able to introduce a ST advanced Persistent chat into the standard Sametime meeting room. I'll have to investigate further.

Comments
I came across your name while trying to research this task I have.
I am fairly new to developing with Websphere and Lotus Sametime Advanced.
However I have been tasked to look into modifying some code in Persistent Chat.
Basically I need to take the "New Chat Room" button that is on the All Chat Rooms tab and apply it and it's functionality to the My Chat Rooms tab. Seems easy enough, except I am spinning in circles trying to locate the code. I believe I have tracked down the .war file.
If you can lend any input that would help me, I would appreciate it.
Thank You,
