It looks like Congressman Darrel Issa could become the new Radicatti...

Category

I'm sure Darrel Issa's comments aren't going to win him many Domino/Notes fans, Nor Ms. Theresa Payton for that matter.

Mr. ISSA. The Clinton Administration used Lotus Notes, right?
Ms. PAYTON. Yes.
Mr. ISSA. Lotus Notes no longer exists, right? It is no longer supported.
Ms. PAYTON. It is no longer supported. Some groups may still use it, but it is no longer supported.
Mr. ISSA. I wouldn't want to do business with somebody still using Lotus Notes or still using wooden wagon wheels. If I understand correctly, though, certainly I checked with the House of Representatives, we can no longer support it for members who want to stay on it.

Gravatar Image1 - Sorry for being off topic but I thought you might know...I searched around but couldn't find anything....

I was wondering if you know of a 3rd party software that allows you to sync the Lotus Notes database to the blackberry via BES the same way the email is being replicated to the blackberry?

Issa is a fellow Lebanese American. If he said Notes is dead it is dead. So he is off by 3 years.

Gravatar Image3 - @2 Do you think he's on the terrorist watch list? Emoticon

Gravatar Image4 - Carl, when it's a US Congressman, it's not a matter of making fans or not -- it's a matter of an accurate record. I've flagged this internally... if something I can talk about further publicly happens, I will.

Gravatar Image5 - @4 Politicians are all about making fans surely, they need people to vote for them, that is why typically, politicians will say what they have to say to who ever they need to say it to get elected. Accurate records typically work against politicians. Emoticon
