European Draw for World Cup 2010 has taken place

Category

Yes in case you missed it, Dumb (Sven paid a few million for nothing) was replaced with Dumber (McClaren also paid a few million for nothing) and England did not manage to make the 2008 European Cup, which means the next tournament England can potentially make is the World Cup in 2010.  So today the draw took place for the European nations qualifying groups, they are:
Group 1 Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Albania, Malta
Group 2 Greece, Israel, Switzerland, Moldova, Latvia, Luxembourg
Group 3 Czech Republic, Poland, NORTHERN IRELAND, Slovakia, Slovenia, San Marino
Group 4 Germany, Russia, Finland, WALES, Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein
Group 5 Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Armenia, Estonia
Group 6 Croatia, ENGLAND, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Andorra
Group 7 France, Romania, Serbia, Lithuania, Austria, Faroe Islands
Group 8 Italy, Bulgaria, Republic of Ireland, Cyprus, Georgia, Montenegro
Group 9 Holland, SCOTLAND, Norway, FYR Macedonia, Iceland

Out of the four home countries, England definitely got of the lightest.

Well we can only hope that the English FA remove the huge stick that is up their arses and start to do their jobs properly and find a qualified candidate to manage the England team.  My personal choice is someone the players are scared to death off, I don't care if the players "like" their manager, I want them to respect their manager and to be fearful of him/her should they contemplate losing a game.  2008 is going to be a quite year...Maybe I should start supporting the USA, they currently have a better chance of winning the World Cup than England does.

Gravatar Image1 - Note We have Croatia - who knocked us out of the European 2007 Cup. Poor Wales have to endure Germany again. Only the group winners qualify for the finals. Eight runners up have to face each other and only the top two will go through. So probably England will not make it to South Africa. Yes lets hope we get a tough manager. I don't think any supporter wanted Mclaren to have the job in the first place. Don't know who is up to the job, any ideas out thereEmoticon
