Is anyone else as excited as I am?

With the thought that Dexter the new series starts Sunday night! If you have never seen Dexter, it has to be one of the best TV shows broadcast in the last 5 years. Humour, suspense, intrigue, blood, it has it all.

Gravatar Image1 - I haven't seen that. What channel?
It sounds a little like that new show "Chuck", which is all spy-intrigue with a geek...but I was disappointed with the pilot, because it was technologically flawed. The premise was that since his pc fell off a shelf and broke, the CIA/FBI couldn't get an email from his hdd and need him instead. I can think of several places to look for that email before I'd even look at his PC. Sheesh.

No. I was really disappointed that the school planned back-to-school night on the same night as the first new episodes of Bones and House, though. You can bet I'll be trying to watch those online this weekend. That's about the only shows I "have" to watch during the week.

Gravatar Image2 - It's on Showtime.

Gravatar Image3 - Aren't you glad I told you about it...

Gravatar Image5 - @3 Yes, very grateful!

Gravatar Image6 - The new series looks great so far, though I hope they don't succumb to the temptation to make Dexter suddenly too moral. That first episode started well, but a Dexter with qualms misses the point entirely, yes?

Gravatar Image7 - @6 As strange as this sounds, it's good to see he's killing again

At the end of last season I really wondered where they were going to be able to take this season, so far I think it's looking good.

I do find the line "I must not kill my sister" very funny.

Gravatar Image8 - The second show was a little better, but they need to watch out for the temptation to go campy. Its the absolute coldness of the show that makes it. Dexter should be a little bit sympathetic but you should be creeped out for sympathizing.

Gravatar Image9 - @8 Agreed. I think one of the things that makes the show so interesting is that you're basicalyl rooting for a serial, which makes one feel a little uncomfortable.

One thing I don't really care about is the new chiefs love issues, unless she or her boyfriend is going to end up dead or something.

Could you imagine if he does end up killing his sister?

So Dokes, do you think he really give up Dexter or do you think he is going to be supportive of Dexter? I could see his sister giving him up.

Gravatar Image10 - I lost interest in Dexter for a while. then all the writers went on strike and I ran out of TiVo'd content. Now I've run out of Dexter !
