First day was fine

Category
The first day went fine, it would be very bad if I failed on the first day. Although I did have some challenges, some cake had been bought in for my birthday and I did manage to avoid having any. I walked 10,267 steps yesterday; I basically went a different way through the woods for my walk to and from work with the dog to extend the steps by a couple of thousand steps. So I don't need to watch the pedometer too closely as I have a route that will take me over the 10,000 mark each day. If I don't take that walk for some reason then I do need to keep an eye on it.

Gravatar Image1 - What I noticed, was that actual weight loss did not start until after more than a week, or so. At first, the results seemed quite disappointing. It took a little over two weeks before I really started to lose pounds. So, in my experience, these first weeks are not easy; I had to get used to new behaviour with regards to eating and exercise, without seeing quick results.

Of course I don't know if you will have the same experience, but don't get discouraged if you're not getting fast results. Just keep going, it will get better!

Gravatar Image2 - Hey, pat yourself on the back for avoiding the cake - that is a small but important step; as it's things like that which, over time, will become an automatic habit and help you keep on the straight and narrow.

After a disastrous day on Wednesday, I stuck to the water yesterday but this morning I was on the verge of caving in and having the bacon sarnie for brekkie. However, I did remember you and thought "Pathetic - if CT is making the effort so can I" , So I then spotted the mixed fruit combo and had that instead.

See?? We all struggle with this - you are not alone
