Retro cell phones

This POKIA link came to me via Tony Cocks, sure we'll see them in pottery barn soon. The funniest thing is that I have seen something very similar done by my Dad to his PC, why use mics and speakers to make internet calls on your PC, when you can cut a few wires and hook in a telephone handset. I always knew he was a visionary!

Gravatar Image1 - I'm not only gonna build one, I'm gonna use it. All the time. I just can't decide whether it should be the classic bakelite or a Harvest Gold Futura handset (the bleeding edge in 1974!). I had a wonderful wee cell phone (Ericsson T28W -- the only phone you could throw in a pcket and not look like you had a phone in your pocket), but it died of old age. Nobody makes anything that is both as small and thin as that phone was now, and if I have to carry something big and awkward, well, then everyone around me is going to have to feel as awkward as I look.
