Geocaching...

Today I went geocaching, including Murphy their black lab, who is one of the most gorgeous Labs I have ever seen, but is absolutely huge. Murphy managed to eat a ton of horse crap and roll in who knows what numerous times, needless to say he had a fantastic time.
All I could think of when I saw the girls dressed for the walk were stories you'd always get told as a boy scout for the people that decided to walk up Snowdon in flip flops and needed rescuing when it started snowing. I have come to the conclusion my sisters girls and these people are one and the same.
Adam my brother in law decided that you don't really need a map when you go geocaching and can get by just with the GPS, my advice having experienced this approach first hand, is always take a map.
When we were kids (in fact I'm sure it would still happen now) if our family ever played Monopoly we would always end up arguing, it appears that geocaching is the equivalent for my sisters family, having circled the geocache clue, my sisters daughters were struggling walking in their clogs and decided they'd had enough. Whereas us men, never smart enough to give up decided we would carry on. Obviously five minutes later without the distraction of women we found the next clue and ten minutes later had found our hoard. The cache was not far from an old moat, and we found it under a mound of rocks. The rocks were the remnants of an old medieval village called "Morton" which no longer exists.
So we had a fun time, the dog stank, the girls were whining and the men came back with the goods. Something tells me if the geocache clue was leading to a sale in a show shop, the girls may have kept at it a little longer. My sister is working the night shift tonight, so with tomorrow being a bank holiday, my brother and I are taking her kids fishing. My brother is typically bad luck on fishing trips, so we'll see if we can break the curse tomorrow. Sorry Mum, that tub I put in the fridge and said is fried rice...it's really maggots.
