HBOs Deadwood or should that be HBOs F*#king C*$ksucking Deadwood?

Category
HBO started a new series a few weeks ago called Deadwood, starring Ian McShane (aka Lovejoy). Based in the West during Gold Rush times, the story is about a gold rush town and the stuff that goes on in that there town. The series looks like it could be quite interesting, but I struggle getting past the fact that every other word in the show appears to be F^%k, now I have no issue with swearing in movies or on TV in fact I can swear up there with the best of them. Used in the right context cursing can add to a scene, but in this series I can't help but feel that this language really wasn't used in those times so it takes away from the show rather than adding to it?

Maybe the swearing will reduce in the coming weeks, but right now it's a hard thing to ignore.

Gravatar Image1 - Hey, check it out, an article on this very thing from the latest NY Magazine. Apparently, the cursing is not authentic for the time period.
