Was down in Westford with peyton today visiting IBM

Meet a couple of people to see how Instant TeamMessenger for Outlook ran against the IBM Sametime systems with the 6.5.1 Domino Outlook connector. Sadly, although IBM may be good at keeping other peoples systems up and running, they seem to struggle with their own. So most of the morning was spent waiting for their Sametime servers to come back up, and then a few afternoons were spent looking at their servers performing really slowly. I think they had some serious network issues, and not specifically Sametime issues. The good news is, ITM for Outlook was working pretty well with the latest Domino Outlook connector.

It's been snowing most of the afternoon, so there's a nice white blanket outside my office window now, it's supposed to keep snowing on and off up to the weekend. Not really a concern for me, as I 'm looking forward to finding the cool sledging hotspots of New Hampshire.

St. Patrick's day tomorrow, which is pretty big day. Presidents Day is and excuse to have a car and mattress sale, and St. Paddy's day is for any American to claim they are Irish and get very drunk, hhhm, no problem with that whole idea so far. To be honest I don't see why there's such a big fuss about a bloke that threw some snakes into the Irish sea. Now St. George the patron saint of England, he slayed a dragon, that takes courage, in reality he was probably a vet and "spayed" some old dragons cat or something and over time the story has got confused and mis-communicated to yeah St. George he slayed a dragon. Now we honour him with parades, my Dad's birthday and naming pubs in his honour. I think St. David of Wales picked some daffodils or planted a leek or something. Anyway, there will be lots of Green tomorrow for clothes and booze and on Thursday morning there will be lots of puddles of green in the street outside bars. The key thing to remember is have fun, be responsible and don't drive drunk even if you do believe you drive better that way.
This public service messages was brought to you by the committee to remove George Bush

Gravatar Image1 - Oh... and wasn't Patrick actually English?

Gravatar Image2 - Actually, I believe St. Pat was Italian!

Hey, Carl -- are we gonna see some phone photos from the St. Patty's festivities at Chugger's Palace?

Gravatar Image3 - Actually, Simon is correct, St Pat was a Brit. He was kidnapped by the Irish when they raided his parents land, and for a few years worked as a shepherd in Ireland, he then had a vision from God that told him to escape back to England which he did, then shortly after that he had another vision that told him to go back to Ireland to show them the light and how to draw four leaf clovers in the top of Guiness pints.

Gravatar Image4 - St. Patrick was English or Scotish. The term Brit is a bit vague ;-}Read about his history at http://www.theholidayspot.com/patrick/historyofpatrick.htm

Some folks think he was French but that's another story.
