Had our first snow of the winter last night

Category
Not much about an inch, although if I was still living in England it would have been considered a big deal. Today it is more than a bit on the frigid side of things outside, first time I've chosen to wear gloves for my walk, in fact the wind was cold enough that it gave me a jaw ache, or is it just me that happens to when it's really cold?

On my walk I walk past my friendly barber and always give him a wave, which got me to thinking, in the barber shop they sell shatter proof combs. Now at school we progressed to shatter proof rulers from wooden rulers, so my question is would people be combing their hair or drawing a straight line and these things just shatter in their hands? How did shatterproof become the key selling point for combs and rulers?

I wait for the day when Microsoft has shatterproof Windows, although yesterday there was a pretty big hole found in the Linux kernel, which the press haven't written much about yet.
