Time for a diet

Yep I think it may be time to go on a diet, sorry I mean it is time to re-educate my eating habits. I am always pretty good on the first few weeks of a diet and lose a ton of weight, and then true to form, I manage to put it all back on with a little extra. So what do I think I'll do, well to be honest, my weight loss regimes in the past haven't been too hard, basically exercise (can be as simple as walking everyday), eating more veggies and fruit, drinking lots of water, cutting out soda and any kind of food I really like such as pizza, bread and buffalo wings, and if I do eat out never eat everything they give me, or at least get the kids meal.

Now I don't want to rush into a diet, as I need to prepare myself mentally and also get certain food cravings met before I start (yes more buffalo wings, some Chinese, Boca Grande and some pizza), so I figure August 1st is as good a day as any to start.

Now to save you all the embarrassment of knowing how much I actually weigh (it's quite a lot) I will keep track of my weight at the beginning of each week by posting my weight loss or gain as a percentage, so for example if I weighed 100 lbs at the beginning of the week, and weighed 99 lbs at the end I will have 1lb which is 1%, simple maths so that even I can do it. No I know I'm supposed to take the obligatory before and after pictures where in the before pictures you always look sad and sullen, but somehow I don't think I'll be posting pictures of me in a speedo, so to all my female readers my apologies. I'll call it the "Kids Meal Diet". My Target weight loss for the first 3 months is 15% so we'll see how it goes, I plan to have a little chart showing the progress.

So if after August 1st anyone sees me eating any crap that isn't in extreme moderation, give me shit! Now where's that Dr Pepper I was drinking...

Gravatar Image6 - Try Atkins. Worked for me. And you don't have to give up eating. Just cut out the carbs.

That means steak, ribs, chicken, all te eggs and cheese you can eat and even a nice claret to wash it down so no hardship really and way quicker than just counting calories. Just Google for ketosis and you'll get the picture.
