So why am I in Seattle?

Category
Well I will be very honest and no matter what anyone thinks I am not here for a job interview Approximately once a year Microsoft invite a couple of hundred of their largest real-time, customers and partners to a conference focused on their Real-Time technologies. This is the 4th one I've been too, and if it's anything like the previous conferences I expect it to be very valuable. The contents are under NDA, so don't expect me to give details about what I see here, in the same way I never gave details on the previous ones I attended. If you wonder what kinds of things are discussed, you can think of it as the equivalent of a 2 day Lotusphere with nothing but sessions on Real-Time stuff (Live Communications Server, Live Meeting), so two solid days of LCS roadmaps and listening to LCS developers discuss where they are today and where they plan to be in the future. At the previous conferences they were pretty honest about where things were, so it will be an interesting couple of days.

Gravatar Image1 - Oh Carl you left your resume package in our kitchen. Should I FedEx it up? Just kidding It was great to see you.

Gravatar Image2 - Interesting - one of my people here is at a "microsoft convention" today. I wonder if it's the same thing . . . .

Gravatar Image3 - Carl,

I assume you are at the RTC airlift for partners today and tomorrow. I am in Redmond / Seattle too. I am with clients, so unfortunatly buying you a beer is not an option this time (and this is not an attempt to bribe you )

Gravatar Image4 - Peter you are right I am here for the RTC event, so far it has been very good. We'll have to save the bribe for another time
