Why oh why won't IBM document more of these settings??

Chris Miller pointed me to this recent technote: Sametime: Can it be Determined if Custom Built Clients are Connected and Can These Clients Be Prevented from Connecting?, We've written custom server components to do this previously, why are these things kept secret? Especially if It's been there since Sametime 3.0 IF3 ??

This one Integrated Awareness on Notes 6.5.2 and Higher Will Result in Server Outages also from Chris, I was really surprised to read that they are using a server based Watch List for their Cache.

1 - Yeah, I just noticed these earlier this week. I just got the CCH2 hotfix from Lotus (You have to open a PMR to get it). I am using the 6.5.4 client and I noticed a nice improvement on how fast the awareness status comes back now. They stated that this will be fixed in the 6.5.5 client. We are upgrading our 6.5.1 users to 6.5.4 within the next couple of weeks and we are now throwing this in the upgrade process/script.

2 - Yeah, I'm having issues with the Server Outages. Tim, what is the CCH2 hotfix? Is this for the 6.5.4 client?

3 - Does anyone know if IBM will get to the bottom of this problem? We're running 6.5.3 clients now running CCH5 hotfix and still our Sametime servers crash 4/5 times a day....
We've had a call with IBM for 3 weeks on this and the only solution we've been offered is to disable the awareness in the clients... which makes all our awareness integration into apps redundant!
Just interested to find out if others out there are having the same problems!
