John Fontana talks about the upcoming phone additions for Sametime

IBM/Lotus embraces telephony, this talks a little bit more about it than the other articles before, confirming that this will allow other vendors to hook into the web conferencing components. Which I know is good news for many of our customers. Now if IBM could improve the UI of the meeting center, create a better test page, improve the performance of screensharing, well then you'd have the best web conferencing solution around.

Gravatar Image1 - That was a great announcement. I actually opened a call with Lotus about the screensharing performance and stated that they need to have it work more like WebEx. I checked on the status of my SPR and was told that they would not be doing anything about it.

Have you called Lotus support about it? The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Until Lotus fixes the poor screensharing they will continue to have Business Partners using competing products for demos instead of Sametime.

If anyone wants the SPR let me know. Just call in and tell them that you would like to be added to it.
