Just saw this article;here's my prediction, IBM initiates a "rip and replace" strategy for SmartSuite in favour of OpenOffice, they'll enable OpenOffice so that it can be served up in a portal and store docs in DB2 or some other IBM J2EE doc store. What IBM will discover, is that File Filters are the number one requirement if someone is thinking about dumping Office in favour of another system, what's interesting is that SmartSuite actually has better file filters than OpenOffice. Let's wait and see what happens, this all seems so familiar...
