Shrek 2
Last night we had a pretty big thunder and lightning storm in New Jersey. Which led to the satellite tv in the hotel providing zero channels. Which made me check out the hotel movies. I decided to watch Shrek 2 as my sisters kids had told me how there is a scene where Shrek gets out of bed and scratchs his bum, apparently at this point in the movie all of them turned to each other and shouted my name, so I was interested to see how they perceive me. I would like to point out, whilst there may be some similarities, I do not wear socks to bed.
The other reason I wanted to see Shrek 2 was because of this crazy article "Parents Beware: 'Shrek 2' Features Transgenderism And Crossdressing Themes". I call it a crazy article as having watched the movie, anyone that takes away that message from that movie is a complete moron! Whatever happened to harmless fun with no sinister undertones? I think these articles are more dangerous than the movie.
The movie was fun, and a good continuation from the first Shrek, some great humour in it and lots of subtle references to other movies and TV shows, did everyone catch the reference to the Beverly Hillbillies at the beginning? I'd give Shrek 4/5 and I'd recommend people see it with their kids just to freak out the "Traditional Values Coalition", these people scare me...be afraid, be very afraid...
