I was sitting in a meeting the other day as people discussed the latest spin on what us old timers referred to as Groupware. All the messages for todays "Social" software are the exact same messages Lotus was presenting 10-15 years ago. Don't believe me, take a look at some of the old Lotus Videos, wherever it says Notes/Domino, just replace it with Connections and tell me you don't have meeting openers that work today.
