Easily find voice notes

Category

If you spend any time in the car and take voice notes on your windows mobile phone, you may want to try out the technology preview for Microsoft Recite.  It's a voice recording and search tool that runs on Windows Mobile phones.  You can record messages your notes like "Remember to take coupon when getting car serviced", "write blog posting on Ticketmaster sucking", "Send email to James about Partner program", "Fred Flinstone is the contact for rock crushing and moving"

Then you can search for a voice recording by saying things like:
"Who was I going to write a blog posting about?"
"Who can crush rocks?"
that kind of thing.  It will then play you back the messages it thinks match.

Apparently it doesn't work by analysing what you say, but matching the sound of phrases or some such thing. I've been using it for a few days and it actually works surprisingly well, it's really handy when in the car and you come up with ideas and can't jot it down on a bit of paper.

Here's a video from the Microsoft Channel 10 website
