If you use these IM systems be aware that people hack them and scam you! They are not encrypted, they are not secure, for that you need an enterprise class IM solution. A few minutes ago I got pinged by what I thought was a friend on Facebook, this was not my friend at all. They told me they had been mugged in England and had all their money stolen. Alarm bells went off when they said my relatives couldn't help them, and that they needed money and didn't have access to a phone, so I decided to start asking questions...Now the questions I asked would be known by Oliver, but not by someone pretending to be Oliver, as not all of the information was on their Facebook page. I inlcluded the chat history below so you can see how the scumbags operate, in following up I found other scams like this documented on the Internet. So be aware, you may think it's a friend, but unless it's a real IM platform you don't really know. Hopefully the real Oliver knows I would be only to glad to help him.
