This is fun, Peter DeHaas responds to my PowerPoint 2007 question

Category

He then goes on to cheekily show me a demo of some new features, which I do admit look really nice and are an excellent feature for making great looking slides.  However I do have to point something else out from the history archive, so I've responded with another Screencast

Gravatar Image1 - I give up,

Beaten by 10 year old, shelved (?) software Emoticon.

I didn't know this feature in Freelance although I have worked with it in the far far past ...

It certainly has similarities to SmartArt, but as I said, SmartArt is available throught the Office suite in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and has its emphasis in creating very powerful graphs within seconds.

But you're right, something old ... something new ..

Anyway, this is fun we need to do this more often ..Emoticon

Gravatar Image2 - Well you did have 10 years to improve upon it Emoticon

I agree though, from what I've seen it looks like a nice feature.

Gravatar Image3 - LOL. I think you both did a nice job. The point being in both cases, if you know a product really well, it is amazing what it can do. I bet 1% of Freelance users, and 1% of PowerPoint users can do what either of you showed. Don't worry Peter that is not an attack on MS at all. 1% of Notes users know how to do the things I show. So I think this goes for all software.

Gravatar Image4 - Carl & Peter,

Very interesting thread !!

Carl: he does have you beat in one area - he has a bigger monitor than you !!

cheers,

Neil

Gravatar Image5 - @4 Nah, I'm just more considerate, I reduce my screen before I record, so that more people can watch it without having to squish anything.

Gravatar Image6 - @4

Neil, my mistake, I thought only Lotus Freelance users still use low res monitors Emoticon
