The dog and I are back from our travels. I left to snow and I came back to snow. I was really hoping that some of the snow would have melted whilst I was away, but it didn't. I still get excited by the prospect of snow, but I can honestly say, it is beginning to get a little tiresome. I think Andrew Pollack and myself are having a competition as to who is getting more snow. It's pretty close, this picture was taken this morning, and this is not snow plough push up or anything, this is just the snow, it's somewhere between 2 and 3 feet depending on where you want to measure.
I had a great time in Texas meeting the new Niece and getting to spend time with my sister in-laws family. Jessie had fun swimming everyday in a lake that wasn't frozen over, and my brother got me an excellent present of some fly time in this 1940s Texan.
So my logbook now shows instruction received in this plane, my first taildragger hours logged. It was a total blast, and was much roomier than I expected inside.
Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone and I hope to see you at Lotusphere in a few weeks!

That must have been one heck of a treat to fly, though. In its day, that was one of the hottest things in the sky, and I'm sure it is still no small thrill.
