If you should happen to purchase an LG appliance from Home Depot

Category

If you should happen to purchase an LG appliance from Home Depot and find the Home Depot service folks and the repair folks that LG send out next to useless, then this link maybe useful.  It tooks hours of reading google finds, but finally I came across the mother load. The LG CS Academy (if their repair guys graduate from there then it's the academy of laughs).

Thanks, Clay

The first time was a thermofuse blew, which was repaired under the manufacture warranty. The guy that LG sent to repair my dryer had never serviced an LG dryer before. The second time my drier died on me was back on Oct 22nd. This time the repair was covered under the extended warranty and serviced by GE. The repair contractor that GE sent out has been worthless. The told me that the heating element needed to be replaced, and that they had to order it from LG. That was almost a month ago, and I still don't have my dryer fixed. I called GE on Friday, and they over nighted the part to me, which I should get today. GE also has sent me a check for $35 to cover the cost for drying my clothes at the laundry mat.

Gravatar Image3 - Our LG Dryer purchased at Home Depot has been a nightmare. After installation it has not dried clothes well. We called and complained about damp clothes and soured smell they sent out a tech from South Bay appliance and he replaced a therostate. South Bay was very difficult to get appointments for the repair, as they put you on telephone hold forever. The LG still has not dried well it is taking 1 1/2 to two drying cycles to get clothes well dried. Our electric bill has doubled. We called and complained again, the tech then installed just about everything new in it. It still does not dry well.Clothes are still damp after cycle. Home Depot appliance sales when told of the issues have been avoiding us and shuffling us because we want to return it as it still does not dry clothes as promissed. It is causing us unwanted stress. We very unsatisfied with the product, their appliance repair support and Home Depote who will not take the washer and dryer back. We won't be buying anything major there again.Emoticon
