I still think this is one of those crazy rules that makes no sense

Why do I think it's stupid?  Well think about it, if the problem is the amount of liquid, then you have a bunch of terrorists with their little containers, all booked on different flights just meet up after they've gone through the security and make it one big amount of liquid, also duty free shops are still open, has anyone in security seen how flammable alcohol is?  This sort of security is just crazy, seriously who do they think they're helping?  Living like this is letting the terrorists win as far as I'm concerned.  Also talking about security, how come in the US, they still have lockers you can rent for 24 hours inside terminals that you could store any sorts of things in to share with fellow terrorists, maybe just one part of a gun each day you take a flight who knows.  If the government are serious about security, then come on get serious. Uh oh I hear the black helicopters overheard, I never should have written this.  Holiday in Cuba here I come.

Oops - do they have my IP now ? Maybe I'll be seeing you in Cuba mate

Gravatar Image2 - The most likely explanation I've heard is that a credible threat that included detailed mixing plans or a "recipe" of some kind was uncovered. Think of it as the terrorism equivalent of "script kiddies" -- they don't know much chemistry, but they don't need to with this "how-to" out there.

Gravatar Image3 - @2 So why the change, surely that threat still exists?

The problem really is our security is a mockery, some people may believe they're secure but they're not. There are are hundreds of other targets that don't involve planes it's ludicrous really.
