IBM giving Microsoft a run for it's money in the UC race? that's the question being asked by Erik Linask, Associate Editor at Internet Telephony magazine.
Despite the proliferation of Microsoft’s products, one factor benefiting IBM today is its longevity in the space, leading to not only a familiarity with its products, but also a desire for businesses to continue to maximize on their investment in IBM.
 
Because IBM’s Lotus applications are deployed by so many corporations across the world, it also behooves communications solutions vendors to adapt their products to IBMs specifications, much like they are doing with Microsoft — Lotus is not going away anytime in the foreseeable future.
