How do your users learn about all the hidden benefits and features in Sametime 7.5.1?

Category

I was chatting to a fellow pilot Howard Greenberg the other day.  Howard runs The Learning Continuum Company, Ltd. otherwise known as TLCC, they're an IBM Partner.  We were talking about planes but then moved onto training and the state of the market etc.  We discussed how Sametime 7.5x is quite different to it's earlier versions, and how people were going about solving the challenges that this can present to companies as they role the product out.  Howard obviously was quick to tell me that they offer a course for Sametime 7.5, at which point I confessed I had never tried one out.  Howard kindly set me up with a copy of the course for Sametime 7.5 so I thought it only fair I write about my impressions.

TLCC has courses for both Sametime Web Conferencing and the Sametime Connect 7.5 client, each course has both a 7.5 and a 7.5.1 version.  The courses are delivered as a set of Notes databases and users can take the course using a Notes client, web browser or from right within the Sametime Connect client through a plug-in.  The plug-in version integrates itself into the Sametime Help system and can be started via the Help menu or from an icon on the toolbar as shown in these screen shots:

One of the things I really liked about the courses, is that they can easily be customized or branded by just editing the docs with a Notes client.  So if you're looking at enhancing your users usage of Sametime, TLCC offers low-cost site licenses, so cost should not be a barrier to providing great quality training.
