Watch out for multiple services being installed when you upgrade Domino to version 7.0.3

Category

There is a technote on this but if you're like me you might take it too literally.  The technote says
To manually remove the service, open a command prompt window and go to the Domino program directory. Run the command: ntsvinst -d -t"Lotus Domino Service Name"

Now if you do exactly as it says (as I did) then you will get a message telling you that the service doesn't exist.  What you need to do is replace the text "Lotus Domino Service Name" with what you have showing for the extra service name, for example if you see something like this:
A picture named M2
You'll want to enter:
ntsvinst -d -t"Lotus Domino Server (CProgramFilesLotusDominodata)"

Oh and before someone from IBM gives me grief about still running Domino 7.x, let me just say this, my server runs Sametime.
