Microsoft Live Meeting is getting some complaints about it's web client...

A 15Mb download with 125 mb required for the installation, gulp.

Live Meeting 2007 Launched - Please note, David the "web conferencing expert" is a Regional Manager at WebEx Communications, so possibly a little biased.

Gravatar Image1 - This is insanity. Not only will the download take much longer but the installation will follow suit. I wonder how long the big service providers will wait before upgrading.

Gravatar Image2 - Granted there is sarcasm in my blog about Live Meeting 2007 but the reality is that for full functionality, I need to download a 15 MB client and have at least 125MB of space. It's a MSFT product that doesn't support it's own company's most recent operating system: Vista??? Just doesn't make sense to me.

Still not sure how this new version of Live Meeting is going to benefit the customer.

Gravatar Image3 - @2 Hi David, I actually enjoy sarcasm, my line was purely a disclaimer so that people knew you work for WebEx, not that what you said was incorrect or dishonest.

Gravatar Image4 - Carl,

Appreciate your comments and enjoy your blog. All the best! Feel free to create link to my blog if you find the info pertinent.

Gravatar Image5 - There are easier products to use than LiveMeeting. For simple exchanges Join.me is free and incredibly easy to use. GoToMeeting is more robust and eliminates LiveMeetings technical connection issues. Its far easier to use.
