A dear friend got married this weekend

Category
This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the marriage of a dear friend. It took place in the Green Mountains of Vermont and the weather was perfect. The wedding basically took over the mountain resort from Friday thru Monday and everyone had the opportunity to partake in the many activities available, horse riding, swimming, canoeing, tennis, clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing all your usual outdoor activities. The weather was perfect with blue skies and temperatures in the lower 80s, with cooler temperatures in the evening.

I had volunteered to look after brides, the grooms and the brides sisters dogs for the weekend, so I had the company of my dog plus 3 other dogs for the weekend in my chalet, fortunately they were all very well behaved, although I do have to wonder which resort design genius thought it was a good idea to make the dog friendly chalet the one that opened onto a small private pond, with two labradors and two retrievers it doesn't take much of an imagination to know what happened

This was the first wedding I had ever been to where there were children from a previous marriage involved, actually come to think of it, I think this was the very first wedding I had ever been to where one of the people getting married had been divorced. Anyway, the new couple included the kids perfectly, having them recite their own vows and being very much part of the wedding ceremony.

So here's to Georganne, Jeff, Olivia and Phoebe, may you have many happy years together!

This photos was a panoramic I took during the rehearsal, you can see it was quite the backdrop for a wedding.
