What's happening with Lotus Redbooks again?

Category
With the new Lotus products that have come out or are coming out, we should be expecting to see requests for redbook authors residencies. There was a request for Quickr residency a little while back, and my friend that wanted to take part in that said the book has been cancelled. I can't see anything on with regard to a connections redbook residency, is IBM serious about helping Admins/Developers work with these products? Take a look at Microsoft Press, they're pretty serious about their products. Anyone heard anything on the grapevine? I hope we're not going through this again.

Gravatar Image1 - I would imagine they will have to cram a bunch in at once to meet the normal cycle of delivery. What happened to the Quickr redbook?

Gravatar Image2 - It's all about budget. I have participated in some ITSO residencies and I have seen how the time for these projects has been reduced, most of them used to be 6 weeks and even 8 weeks, now just a few are more than 5. Anyway, I think this redbooks are great for everybody, customers, BPs and even IBMers, hopefully this year we will have Quickr, Connections, more on ST 7.5.x, Domino 8 on different platforms. I guess System i is getting good budgets because the times I have been in Rochester, MN the offices are usually crowded with residents from everywhere.

Gravatar Image3 - I don't know about the redbooks but I heard something about a Birthday. Happy Birthday. Have a great one.

Gravatar Image4 - Hey, it's your birthday! Happy birthday from me too!
