So I decided to get those things that you really want to do, but should only do when you have kids around out of the way. So Saturday, we did the diet Coke and Mentos experiment, we found that Sam's Diet Cola works just as well as Diet Coca-Cola, and we found out that it's really hard to keep you mouth closed if you take a swig of diet coke whilst you have un-chewed mentos in your mouth.

Sunday was rocket day, we had purchased a little Estes Rocket set from the clearance section at Walmart for about $13 so decided to try them out. With the first rocket we launched Peter faces was a picture, it turns out he was expecting this rocket to go about 10 feet like the mentos and coke, so when it went a good 500+ feet he was truly amazed. The fun with these rockets is that they don't have parachutes, so trying to figure out where they landed turned out to be as much fun as launching the rocket itself. I only have the kids around for a couple more days, so I need to think about what else I need to get out of my system whilst they're here...
