Daylight Savings Time - The new Y2K?

Category
Chatting to a few Admins and other people out there, the change to Daylight Savings Time sure has people worried. It feels like the Y2K issue, but without all the planning time and committee groups that existed for that.

Let's all start running to the cash machines now and make sure we have cash. Be sure to duct tape your windows shut and fill the bath tubs with water, you never know how this thing will pan out

Gravatar Image1 - Run to the cash machines now? Don't you mean running to the cash machines at 2:01 am on March 11? Or are we supposed to *not* use the cash machines at 2:01 am on March 11?

Well, either way, at least I've still got all that gold bullion buried in the back yard. Oh wait, did I say that out loud...?

Gravatar Image2 - Don't worry, we took the bullion a long time ago

Gravatar Image3 - If you take mony out of an ATM and then the clocks get set back, can you take the same moneey out again ?

Gravatar Image4 - @3 - Glen... I'll let you know.

Seriously, one thing I didn't get a chance to say at Gurupalooza about this was "be sure and thank your congressional representatives for making sure you have this nightmare to face with virtually no prep time."

Gravatar Image5 - If we define no prep time as a few years since it was signed here then we definitely have issues.

People didnt pay attention and vendors were not rushing to make annoucenments
