Phew...My Friday Checkin

Well I haven't posted for a couple of weeks due to the holidays and catching up with family etc. All I can say is phew with a big sigh. I will be very honest, I didn't get all my steps in every day during vacation and some days I did more than 10,000, I ate some stuff I love, but not suff that would be considered good on a diet (although I ate no where near as much as I probably would have pre-diet), I had a good relaxing time and I also got in some swimming and stuff in (although that was really more like splashing around than swimming).

So I was a little concerned coming in to today's weigh in, I had avoided the scales since my last Friday checkin, probably because I didn't want to see how much weight I had managed to put on in Florida. Anyway the results are in and they are as follows:

Last logged weight: 344.2 lbs
This weeks weight: 341.6 lbs
This weeks weight loss: 2.6 lbs
Total weight loss: 42.4 lbs

I hate to think what I must have weighed when I got back, as I've eaten nothing but salads since then. Anyway, I passed the 40 lb mark and the line is still going in the right direction, so I can't grumble.

Thanks for the inspiration.
Got knocked off my bicycle before Christmas and am now starting by building up my walking as a way of getting back.
My wife and family were always onto me not to do things to soon. I mentioned your posts and my wife got me a pedometer.
Been upping my steps by about 500 a day. Used a train and walk to get to work today and I am getting fitter and stronger in stages.
I did not realise how far 10,000 steps every single day was. Respect Carl.

10,000 so far today and still got to walk and train it home yet.
Going to get back to full fitness thanks to your inspiration.
