My FEDEX saga is over...

Category
I got to FEDEX and picked up my package. The woman at the place, had the cheek to actually say to me "Oh finally this will be out of my office", now I could have given her some real abuse at this point but decided to let it go. So it is over, I drove the hour that FEDEX couldn't manage and picked it up myself.

So what was I waiting for? What was in the package? Was it a lifetime supply of cherry flavoured condoms? Was it a Flying for Dogs book? Was it How to interact with IBM for Dummies? Now it was none of these, I was waiting for a very cool extremely sweet 16-Port NetDirector™ 1U Rackmount Console KVM Switch with 17" LCD, as a friend put it, I'm like a girl that just walked out of the shoe shop with a new pair of expensive shoes. I prefer the kid in a candy store saying as it sounds less gay (not that there's anything wrong with that), but yes this is totally cool and I'm psyched to have it setup and running.

Previously all our rack machines in the rack were connected to a KVM and the monitor and keyboard to access it was sitting out the back of the rack. Now with this piece of kit everything sits inside the rack, keyboard, mouse, beautiful LCD screen, everything. Very nice piece of gear.

Gravatar Image1 - I'm glad this is finally behind you, I know how frustrating it can be waiting for something you really really want. I ordered a new LCD monitor and video card for home and was sweating that it wouldn't arrive before the Thanksgiving holiday last week. Luckily it did.

Hope you need more than a box of those
How to interact with IBM for Dummies ?
That would be a 10" thick book ........No, sorry that is the "How to interact with IBM for IBMers", your version would be a mere 5" thick one.

Gravatar Image3 - That remark would have been the last straw if it had been my package. I would have went off.

At the very least, please tell me you didn't have to PAY for Fed Ex shipping!

Gravatar Image4 - For future reference. I am not sur DHL is any better.
Her is the track and trace result for a parcel sent from Brazil to the Flalkalnd Island.
It was eventually picked up on November 6th.
I believe, one of the worlds most traveled DHL packages
