Are you using VMware in your production environment?

Category
Perhaps you're using it for development and testing? If you are I'd be interested in having a chat with you. I have tentatively been given approval do a VMWare session at Lotusphere again next year and I would love to have a few slides in there of other peoples real experiences running VMWare, especially in Domino/Sametime/QuickPlace/Workplace environments, so the experiences shared can be a little broader than just mine.

Please let me know if you'd like to help.

Gravatar Image1 - I'll have to keep this in mind, as I may have someting by then. My ST server is on a Dell box that expires soon. I'd love to get, possibly, a box to run meeting services. them move community/mux services to a couple of vmware boxes.

Gravatar Image2 - We used to run our QuickPlace server in VMware - it was actually two Domino VM's on a single PC box, one running QP, the other serving as the LDAP server. This was great as we were able to move them to better servers with time - being a startup company at the time, quick server load growth was an important issue, and we had to be able to respond quickly.
There were some minor issues with this setup, but none due to the VMs.

I use VMware regularily as my main developement environment (with Domino Server and Notes/Designer installed, so I don't mess up my host ThinkPad with all the tests I do). It works great.
